Prepare for impact
Before you step up to the plate at Diamond Impact Training Center, we want you to feel fully prepared and excited for your first lesson. We’ve outlined everything you need to know to make your experience smooth, productive, and fun. Ensuring your athlete starts strong and builds confidence from day one.
What to bring & wear
Players should arrive with their normal baseball or softball gear, including: Bat (if they have one — we can provide options if needed), Batting gloves (optional, but recommended), Helmet (required for safety), Cleats or athletic shoes (indoor turf shoes or sneakers work great), and a Water bottle to stay hydrated. Athletes should wear comfortable athletic clothing, such as baseball/softball pants or shorts, and a t-shirt or training top.
Your first lesson experience
The first session is focused on learning the athlete’s current swing and goals. Our instructor will evaluate mechanics and timing, introduce key adjustments in a simple, positive way, work through drills designed for the player’s level, and build confidence with clear coaching and feedback. No pressure — just a great starting point for improvement. We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early so your athlete can get settled, warm up, and be ready to start on time. Come ready to learn and have fun!
